Choose a weapon and plan its upgrades
Read tier changes, reserve materials and compare the build you will actually carry.

1Start with the job
Our advice: decide whether this run is mainly about a quest, scavenging or fighting ARC. Pick a weapon you understand before spending materials on a more expensive kit. Ammunition type, magazine and weight can matter as much as the damage number; damage alone is not a useful ranking.

2Inspect the actual tier
Open the weapon details and select I, II, III or IV. The recorded upgrade recipe includes the previous-tier weapon. Some upgrades change magazine capacity; others improve handling. Tier perks are relative to tier I. The comparison shows recorded values rather than treating every upgrade as extra damage.

3Reserve the materials
Check the recipe and crafting station requirement for the exact tier. Our advice: leave quest materials in your stash until you have checked the journal. A component needed for an upgrade may also be needed for progression. Sale value is what an item can sell for, not the amount required to buy or craft it.

4Compare before committing
Compare two weapons, or choose the same weapon on both sides and compare two tiers. Use the highlighted numerical differences as a starting point. They do not include your aim, attachments, durability or the target's armour. A range rating is a rating, not a distance in metres.

5Save a repeatable build
Add the selected tier to your loadout, choose ammunition and save a named kit. Our advice: keep a cheaper alternative ready for material runs. Amplified paths are separate from ordinary tier upgrades and are not simulated by this planner. Check the in-game station before committing rare materials.
