STEP 01

Distinguish the protection types

Missive III describes chest armour durability as an additional damage-absorbing layer. Helmets and greaves instead modify damage and do not have their own repairable durability. Our comparison tool leaves unverified protection figures unknown.

STEP 02

Choose your repair method

Armour Tongs are reusable, gradual repairs that require active use from a tool slot. Armour Plates are consumed to restore sections of chest protection more quickly. Plates occupy inventory space, competing with ammunition, healing and loot.

STEP 03

Do not infer armour from cosmetics

The developer deliberately separates visible character appearance from equipped armour. Appearance alone does not establish exact protection. Missive XII later announced a movement penalty for heavier armour, without a precise percentage. Reviewed 6 October 2026; current numerical protection, repair and movement values need in-game verification.
