HUNGER / GUIDE

Currency & vendor prices

Understand copper, silver and gold, and distinguish sale values from buying costs.

Read costs and vendor access

Read the denominations

Missive XI specifies 100 Copper per Silver and 100 Silver per Gold. One Gold therefore equals 10,000 Copper. The weapon and armour comparisons display historical sell values using these denominations.

Keep selling and buying separate

A recorded sell value is not a vendor purchase price. Vendor stock is limited and refreshes; reputation affects access and pricing. Do not use a sale value as the budget for purchasing that item.

Check the current offer

After Tech Test 3, the developer announced significant reductions to vendor prices and other balance changes. Exact future prices were not published in that announcement. Historical community sale records remain labelled accordingly. Reviewed 7 October 2026.

WDguide planning advice

Replace essentials first

Compare your remaining funds with the equipment and medicine needed for another attempt. Separate a replacement budget from money available for an upgrade.

Compare the relevant price

A recorded sale value is not automatically the price to buy an item. Confirm the current vendor listing and any access requirement before planning a purchase.

Give an upgrade a purpose

Name the problem the purchase solves: missing carrying space, unavailable recovery or a weapon you can handle. Postpone a purchase whose benefit you cannot use on the next run.
