HUNGER / GUIDE

Food & drink bonuses

Two announced consumable effects, their duration and how stacking works.

Food effects and stacking

Choose a bonus for the task

Missive VI describes as increasing loot identification speed by 20% for 10 minutes. increases movement speed by 10% for 40 seconds. These are developer-published effects, reviewed 7 October 2026; confirm them in your current build.

Avoid doubling the same category

Bonuses from the same food category do not stack: when two overlap, the stronger effect applies. Food can combine with Masteries, trinkets and equipment traits.

Plan supplies without a hunger penalty

The developer describes food and drink as optional bonuses rather than a punitive hunger upkeep system. Bring consumables to support your objective instead of assuming they are required to prevent starvation.

Match the bonus to the next task

WDguide planning advice

Before a looting stop

The recorded effect concerns identification speed. Use that information when planning a sustained looting stop, rather than expecting it to make the movement between buildings faster.

Before a short movement segment

The recorded movement bonus lasts 40 seconds. Decide which crossing needs the bonus before consuming it; using it while sorting inventory spends part of the recorded window.

When bonuses overlap

The same food category does not supply additive stacking. Check the active effect before using another item from that category, and keep the replacement if it would add no useful benefit.
