HUNGER / GUIDE

Build a party that can recover

Agree on scouting, engagement and recovery before leaving together.

Prepare party responsibilities

  1. 01

    Add Steam friends first

The beta guide says the in-game friends list comes from Steam. Add each other on Steam before trying to form a party. In the Escape menu, use the + icon to invite; the Social icon shows received invitations. Proximity voice chat is available in expeditions and needs the correct microphone selected.

  2. 02

    Assign responsibilities

Choose who calls the route, who watches for contact and who tracks the objective. Keep calls short.

  3. 03

    Choose a regroup point

A known fallback is easier to follow than several competing instructions when a fight breaks your formation.

  4. 04

    Protect recovery

Give recovery-focused teammates time and shelter. Watch the approach before restarting a fight.

Assign jobs that the equipment can support

WDguide planning advice

The objective carrier

Name who is tracking the objective and which required items the group is collecting. Do not assume one player’s journal state is shared with every teammate.

The support player

Pack the medicine or repair tool the role requires and agree when it can be used. A support label alone supplies no item or recovery effect.

The approach watcher

Keep someone aware of entrances and the return route while another player interacts or recovers. Reassign the job when the squad moves.
