PATH OF EXILE 2

How to create a PoE2 build guide

Equipment, skill groups, progression stages, concise notes and local saves.

Introduction

Equipment, skill groups, progression stages, concise notes and local saves.

By WildWire · Path of Exile 2

Start with the useful parts

  1. 01

    Name the build

Choose one class and a matching Ascendancy. Explain what the build does and which progression stage the reader needs.

  2. 02

    Create the equipment and skills

    Recurve Bow

Choose bases or Uniques, known modifier tiers and the actual augments. Add skills, supports and weapon assignments. Read the requirement report before writing claims about the setup.

  3. 03

    Add progression stages

Duplicate a working stage before building the next setup. Rename and reorder stages into a clear path. Separate required upgrades from expensive optional alternatives.

  4. 04

    Write short stage notes

    Lightning Arrow

Explain the play loop and next upgrade. Type @ to mention an item or skill so readers can inspect it. Keep starter notes concise; include warnings that change a real decision.

  5. 05

    Preview and export

Inspect an item, switch stages and weapon sets, and read the notes on a narrow screen. Download for PoE2 exports the selected stage as an in-game .build file; it is not a complete backup of the WDguide draft.

What the reader needs

How Does it work?

Describe the main action, boss action and required setup. Name skills with @ mentions rather than repeating entire tooltips.

What must be equipped?

Call out mandatory effects, attributes and reservations. Explain what fails without them.

What changes next?

Give the next useful upgrade and why to take it. Later stages should show gems, tree choices and defensive trade-offs as well as gear.

Keep the working copy safe
