Combat / FIELD NOTES
Choose grenades, traps and deployables deliberately
Plan a small set of tools for a specific encounter.

1Start with a purpose
Our advice: choose whether a gadget is for damage, cover, distraction or an escape. Carrying many different tools adds decisions as well as weight. A small kit you understand is easier to use under pressure than an inventory full of unfamiliar items.

2Inspect the item record
Search the supplies reference by name or category. Damage, radius, use time, weight and recipes appear where the item page records them. Missing fields remain missing. A listed damage value is not a guarantee of damage against a particular enemy or armour part.

3Make deployment part of the plan
Traps, mines and thrown items are grouped separately. Our advice: think about where you will stand, where the threat is likely to move and how you will retreat before committing to an item. Avoid planning around a placement you have not checked in-game.

4Reserve the right slots
Some augments have dedicated grenade slots. Those are separate from general quick-use and backpack capacity. The loadout keeps those sections labelled. Our advice: do not consume all of your reachable supply space with offensive items if your plan also relies on healing or shield recharge.

5Reassess after contact
Our advice: after using a loud or visible tool, assume the situation may have changed. Check your surroundings and return plan before chasing the result. This guide is planning advice; it does not simulate enemy detection, player positions or blast obstruction.
