WDGUIDE / WEBSITE INFORMATION
Privacy & cookies.
Your account, your plans and the information that keeps the guide running.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
01Who this notice is for
WDGuide is an independent game-guide network covering WARDOGS, HUNGER, ARC Raiders and Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. This notice describes the information used by our website, planners and community features. For privacy questions or requests, contact the WDGuide operator through the existing Warkittens community and ask for a private conversation. Do not post account or payment details in public channels.
02Discord sign-in and your library
Signing in lets us associate saved loadouts, FOB plans and votes with your Discord user ID. We store that ID, a protected session identifier and its expiry, together with the plans, names, visibility settings and timestamps you submit. Our sign-in requests Discord’s identify permission; it does not request access to your messages or your Discord password. This processing provides the account features you request.
03Older planner libraries and share snapshots
In the older planner libraries, a public entry can be viewed by other visitors. Private entries are limited through the account system, but service operators and hosting providers may process them to operate the site. Copying a share link creates a separate stored snapshot: anyone with that link can open it, even if the original library entry is private. Changing or deleting the original does not revoke the snapshot. Do not put personal or sensitive information in plan names or shared content.
04Community profiles, drafts and reviews
Signed-in creators can publish their own builds and submit guides for owner approval on WDguide.com. Discord sign-in is required to create or edit Community guides and builds in the prepared creator workflow. Account saves contain your Discord user ID, the creations you choose to save, uploaded pictures, revisions and timestamps. Your creator profile can include a display name, bio, picture and favourite game. Signing in does not automatically upload browser drafts. Guide submissions retain version snapshots, reviewer feedback and approval history. Pending revisions, private drafts and feedback are not listed for visitors. Service operators and hosting providers may process private records to run and protect the service.
05Released creations and shared visibility
A released build or approved guide can show its creator name, profile picture, guide or build content and included images. A new pending guide revision does not replace its approved version until approved. Builds do not require guide approval. Build publication is an explicit action; guide publication requires the owner’s approval. Draft edits remain private until the build release is updated or the guide revision is approved. Community account share links can be revoked through the account controls; deleting an account draft also revokes its share link. This differs from older independent planner snapshots, which must be handled separately. People may retain copies they already downloaded or shared elsewhere.
06Draft recovery and account deletion
Moving a device or account draft to Recently deleted is recoverable; it is not full account erasure. Restoring a draft does not automatically republish it or restore a revoked share link. Deleting a source draft does not erase an approved guide snapshot or its review history. To request an account-data copy or deletion, contact the WDguide operator privately through Warkittens. We verify control of the matching Discord account and clarify whether the request covers Community, older planners, private testing or all of these. Do not send passwords, login tokens or client secrets. Provider-held backups and other retained copies must be checked when handling a request; no fixed backup retention period is promised here. Device-only drafts and pictures must also be removed from the browser if you want them erased.
07Live reader count and analytics
The online counter uses a random session cookie and last-active time to avoid counting the same browser repeatedly. Each game counter shows activity on that game site; the WDguide network counter combines all sites and counts the same browser once across them. A reader stops counting after 90 seconds of inactivity; stale records are removed when the endpoint next receives activity. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on wdguide.com to help us understand visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as cookieless. These measurements support our interest in maintaining and improving the guide. They are separate from Discord accounts.
08Advertising and consent
We are preparing to use Google AdSense to support the guide. Advertising is not currently active, and the guide does not load Google advertising code. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, identifiers, IP addresses and browser information to deliver ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Where required, a Google consent message will let you consent, decline or manage your choices before consent-dependent advertising is used. You can reopen the options through Privacy choices in the footer. Declining advertising consent will not prevent you from using the guides or planners. You can also manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. Browser cookie controls can remove existing cookies, but do not replace the consent choices shown by the advertising service.
09Security and hosting
Website requests are processed by our hosting and network providers to deliver pages and protect the service. When creating a short share link, the application stores a hash derived from the connecting IP address, where available, to limit abuse. Hashing is not a guarantee of anonymity. We use this information for the legitimate interest of securing the service. The share record currently retains this value with its snapshot, although the rate limit only checks the preceding hour.
10Visitor reports
When you report incorrect or missing information, we store the selected game, item name, page, report type, message and optional source link in a private administrator inbox. Please do not include personal information. Reports remain until removed during review or on a deletion request. A daily hash of the connecting address limits spam; the application does not store the raw address in the report system. Rate-limit entries expire at the next UTC day and are cleaned on later submissions.
11How long information is kept
Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days and signing out invalidates the current session. Expired session records are cleaned during subsequent sign-ins. Saved plans and votes remain stored until removed; there is currently no automatic expiry for older share snapshots. Community account saves, recoverable deleted drafts, uploaded pictures and guide-review history also have no automatic expiry. An account-data deletion request is separate from moving a draft into Recently deleted. Browser preferences remain until cleared. Provider logs and analytics follow the providers’ retention arrangements. Contact us about deletion, including an unwanted share snapshot; copies already obtained by others cannot be recalled through WDGuide.
12External services
Map terrain tiles and official news can be requested from external providers. Those providers may receive your IP address and browser details. Steam and official game links have their own privacy practices. External video and donation embeds are disabled. Discord sign-in supports account features across the network; its identify permission does not include access to your messages.
13Your choices and rights
You can browse guides without signing in, choose whether to make a library entry public, and clear site cookies or storage in your browser. Clearing login cookies signs you out; clearing planner storage can remove locally saved work. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local data-protection authority.
14Changes to this notice
