01Who this notice is for

WDGuide is an independent WARDOGS fan guide. This notice describes the information used by our website, planners and community features. For privacy questions or requests, contact the WDGuide operator through the community Discord linked below and ask for a private conversation. Do not post account or payment details in public channels.

02Discord sign-in and your library

Signing in lets us associate saved loadouts, FOB plans and votes with your Discord user ID. We store that ID, a protected session identifier and its expiry, together with the plans, names, visibility settings and timestamps you submit. Our sign-in requests Discord’s identify permission; it does not request access to your messages or your Discord password. This processing provides the account features you request.

03Public plans and share links

A public library entry can be viewed by other visitors. Private entries are limited through the account system, but service operators and hosting providers may process them to operate the site. Copying a share link creates a separate stored snapshot: anyone with that link can open it, even if the original library entry is private. Changing or deleting the original does not revoke the snapshot. Do not put personal or sensitive information in plan names or shared content.

04Live reader count and analytics

The live reader count uses a random browser identifier and last-active time to avoid counting the same browser repeatedly. A reader stops counting after 90 seconds of inactivity; stale records are removed when the endpoint next receives activity. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on wdguide.com to help us understand visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as cookieless. These measurements support our interest in maintaining and improving the guide. They are separate from Discord accounts.

05Security and hosting

Website requests are processed by our hosting and network providers to deliver pages and protect the service. When creating a short share link, the application stores a hash derived from the connecting IP address, where available, to limit abuse. Hashing is not a guarantee of anonymity. We use this information for the legitimate interest of securing the service. The share record currently retains this value with its snapshot, although the rate limit only checks the preceding hour.

06How long information is kept

Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days and signing out invalidates the current session. Expired session records are cleaned during subsequent sign-ins. Saved plans and votes remain stored until removed; there is currently no automatic expiry for share snapshots. Browser preferences remain until cleared. Provider logs and analytics follow the providers’ retention arrangements. Contact us about deletion, including an unwanted share snapshot; copies already obtained by others cannot be recalled through WDGuide.

07External services and donations

Twitch streams and the Ko-fi donation panel are embedded from external services. When these embeds load, your browser contacts those providers, which can receive your IP address and browser details and may use their own cookies or storage. This notice does not itself ask for or record consent. Discord, Steam and other external links also have their own privacy practices. Donations are processed through Ko-fi and its payment providers; WDGuide does not collect card details through its own form. Donation details you provide to the operator may be used to answer payment enquiries or arrange the Discord Supporter role.

08Your choices and rights

You can browse guides without signing in, choose whether to make a library entry public, and clear site cookies or storage in your browser. Clearing login cookies signs you out; clearing planner storage can remove locally saved work. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local data-protection authority.

09Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our features or data practices change. The revision date appears above. Reading this page or continuing to browse does not constitute permission for optional tracking.
